PATRICIO is a professional specialist in managing of multicultural projects in remote and harsh environments. He has more than +25 years of experience carrying out projects in different countries as a Project Manager or Senior Consultant in the following industries: Mining, Cement, Concrete, Construction, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Pulp & Paper.

His career covers projects in nickel, copper, gold and silver open pit and underground mines in the Canadian Artic, North & South America and Central & South Africa.

He has carried out successful projects with leading companies in the areas of continuous improvement, behavioral change, operational excellence, change management, process implementation and innovation.

Experience as a consultant and project leader in the areas of: Planning, Operations, Crusher, Mine Technical Services, Geology, Projects, Contract Management, Maintenance, Finance and Human Resources.

Patricio has a Global MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona University in the United States. An Innovation diploma from IDEO, in Palo Alto, California, United States. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from ITESM, Monterrey, México.

Underground
Fresnillo PLC, Saucito underground Silver mine. Ensured deliveries on a timely manner for Planning, Dispatch, Operations and Maintenance areas, exceeding project expectations with accumulated savings of US $ 18.5 M. Implement MOS, results: ROI 1:6 within project lifetime, Shift start 1.5 hours faster, 15% of equipment reduced UG, Reportability increase (23% to 98 % in dispatch), Plan adherence in development increased (53% to 78%).

Capstone Gold, Cozamin underground copper mine, Zacatecas, Mexico Managed to perform: 40-week project. Main activities / responsibilities: Led Mine Technical Services and Mine Operations areas, designed and implemented the “managers boot camp” and executed coaching sessions with MGM. Managed to increase ore production by 7%, development meters 59% and Copper Pounds: 10% improvement all fromthe last vs first 3 months.

Yamana, Magdalena underground gold mine in Sonora, Mexico, Project in Mine Technical Services & Geology implementing the MOS focused on plan construction, communication and follow up. Achievements: Increase in development meters 75% vs Q1 2015. Improved Planning KPI’s adherence to the weekly mine plan from72% to 97%.

Primero Mining Corp, Tayoltita underground gold mine in San Dimas, Durango, Mexico. 36 weeks of analysis + project, in Mine Technical Services & Geology, implemented MOS to improve achievement of production plan, control & minimize variations by using a weekly plan, mine tours and effective meetings.

Open Pit
Baffinland, Mary River open pit iron ore mine, Crusher Shutdown Management: Install Baffinland Operating System: 10% above target average run time. Average daily tonnes increase from first 3 weeks of July to last 3 weeks of Sept is 12%.

IAMGOLD, Essakane, open pit gold mine in Burkina Faso, Africa, 28-week project in Mine Techinical Service. Installed MOS capable of delivering a high-quality plan linked to the mill feed forecast. Achieved required material mix daily using mill feed planning.

Rosebel open pit gold mine in Suriname, South America, 28-week project in Mine Technical Service. Designed, coached and successfully implemented a system for managing to improve achievement and quality on the weekly mine plan. Controlled & minimized variations from L&H and D&B according to weekly, monthly, quarterly forecast. Improved the mine planning and execution through aligning the operations and engineering departments and driving the mine to plan.
