Career and Academic Background

Sergio is a senior consultant with global experience in mining, continuous improvement and transformation programs; he has operated in a variety of positions within Mining Industry.

Sergio has been operating in Mexico, specifically as a key consultant on multiple succesful mining projects. He has quickly proven that his experience, attitude and skills are key to designing systems that are of great benefit to Renoir Clients. He works as a team and focuses his management through coaching to provide high-level support.

Electromechanical Engineer from the Technological Institute of Chihuaha, Diploma in Business and Finance from ITAM in Mexico, with experience in the implementation and design of maintenance strategies, mine operation and mine planning.

A native Spanish speaker with an operational level of English, Sergio has experience in mine operations (underground and open pit) and a deep understanding of maintenance strategies. Sergio has worked in several industries and streams such as: Construction, Mining Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing.

Significant Experience

Consultant with over 26 years of experience in mining, designing management systems for. Operational Excellence practice for Mine Operations, Planning, Supplies and Maintenance processes.

Design of operations strategies and maintenance strategies to ensure continuity, budget and project design and CAPEX & OPEX control.

Work performed for a diverse range of businesses, such as: Mine Operation and mobile maintenance, autonomous concrete plants, cement plants. Provided support to mine operations and maintenance services, staff training to improve technicians, supervisors and maintenance managers performance, project design for procurement process, to improve mine operation efficiency, and for mine planning support.

Drive business results through planning and execution improvement, to increase maintenance reliability to achieve operating equipment.

Held different positions (manager, superintendent, consultant) being responsible for improving operations, designing maintenance systems (through planning, implementation, and management), reducing costs, improving safety as well as staff performance.

Responsible of the management in areas as operations, geology & exploration, maintenance, planning and mine projects as well as meeting mining schedule targets.
